Spring Break Mission Trip
Join us on our Spring Break Mission Trip to Vineyard Retreat in Ariton, AL. The main focus of this trip is to meet the needs of the camp and help Steve, the camp’s director/on-site missionary, knock out the camp’s “honey-do” list. This is a great first-time trip. It is also a great family trip since a nursery is provided.
The Overall Project
Ten years ago, Steve Tipton partnered with the Coffee County Baptist Association to make his dream of reviving an aging, closed camp. The facilities are beautiful surrounding several large ponds including two pastoral retreat cabins, a modern upscale mini-hotel and lodge, three lakehouses, a gym, two managers’ houses, and plenty of recreation. Most of the renovations and additions have been done with volunteer teams. Steve’s answer to “What do you need?” was that he needed teams to do what no one else would do – the not so fun “honey-do list.” Our teams have underpinned houses, finished other team’s unfinished work, built decks, restored buildings, provided infrastructure, cleaned up after hurricanes, and so much more. We have extended this partnership because of its fruitfulness for the kingdom. Hundreds of teens and adults come to know Christ and thousands get the opportunity to grow in their faith.
